Buxco unveils FinePointe NAM at ATS
At the American Thoracic Society meeting in San Diego, California, Buxco Research Systems unveiled its newest addition to the FinePointe line. FinePointe NAM for non-invasive airway mechanics joins FinePointe RC for invasive resistance and compliance to offer our clients the most reliable, easiest to operate, and highest throughput systems available.
FinePointe NAM involves a double chamber plethysmograph, used for measuring nasal and thoracic flows independently. Phase relationships between these flows are used to calculate specific airway resistance (sRaw) on conscious subjects. Click here for more information on non-invasive airway mechanics.
In keeping with the Buxco's objectives for the FinePointe series, FinePointe NAM offers some important benefits:
- Clean and uncluttered design with few tubes and wires
- Automated calibration
- One system supports mice, rats, and guinea pigs - just switch plethysmographs
- Automatic species detection and software analyzer setup
- Easy-to-load restraint is loaded before inserting into the plethysmograph
- Operation from the software or hardware
- Flexible aerosol delivery and bias flow controls
- Highly scalable. Each station accommodates up to four subjects. Add stations with just USB and power connections.
- Optimized for use with FinePointe software
Come see this newest system at Booth #916 in the San Diego Convention Center.
